Step1 - To begin recovery of MDF file process, first off, you need to initialize SQL data recovery software and SQL database recovery tool can be initialized easily from (Windows Start Menu » All programs » SQL Recovery Software)

Step2 - After initialization of software, get a screen in front of you. Here you will get to see an 'Open' button at the top, you need to click on that button to browse & select corrupted SQL.mdf file.

Step3 - After selection of corrupt MDF file, the software will ask you to select MS SQL Server edition. If by mistake, you select wrong SQL Server edition then, results of inconsistent behavior may come up.

Step4 - If you want to repair secondary data (NDF files) then click on "NDF Options" to import corrupt NDF files.

Step5 - After this, when you will select MS SQL Server edition, the MS SQL data recovery software will start MDF scanning to recover MDF file data & recover deleted SQL table or records and will show the information of MDF items.

Step6 - After MDF scanning & data recovery of MS SQL Server, the software will ask you to save scanned file for default MS SQL Server. If you want to save the scanned file for default SQL Server then, you can click 'Yes' but, if you don't want to save the scanned file for default SQL Server, you want to take it to any other SQL installed computer system then, you need to click "No" and proceed to the next step.

Step7 - Once, you will click 'Yes', the software will provide you the option to save scanned file in STR file format, you have to click 'Save' to proceed. After this when you will click on 'Save', the software will save the recovered file in .str file format.

Step8 - After saved the database (.str format), you will get the preview of recovered SQL Server database on your computer screen.

Step9 - After taking a preview of recovered SQL Database items, you have to click on 'Export' to proceed. You also get the facility of exporting more than one table in this SQL Recovery tool.

Step10 - After this, when you will on 'Export', the software will ask you to fill few mandatory details like Server name, Database Name, User name, etc. You have to fill those details and proceed for the saving of repaired MS SQL Server database. You can save recovered SQL database items either in default MS SQL Server database or in SQL Server Compatible SQL Scripts.
